How much will it cost?

Every project has different requirements, and those often require unique expertise and resources. Of course, in the interest of openness and transparency, we would like to give you an idea of the costs estimation here.

Before we talk numbers, we have to say that we're not going to be the lowest bidder for your project. If you just want to get your projects out of the door for the lowest price without regard for quality, you should probably look elsewhere.

We're passionate about creating the best solution and we take the time to do things the right way. If you can appreciate the value of every single project and every little thing in each tiny or big project, hopefully we can work together.

So how much will it cost to do something like you have in mind? Here are some ultra-rough ballpark price ranges.

Our base rate?

Our base rate is $200 (US$) per hour. More than a mechanic, but less than a lawyer! All work is billed in quarter-hour increments, and invoiced every month.

Does Pineapple design do fixed-fee projects?

Can Pineapple design do budget caps?

Yes, we can modify our work pace as needed to accommodate your budget on a weekly, monthly or any basis, Let us know your constraints, and we will work around them.

What is the first step?

Let's kick-off meeting, so everyone can get to know each other, and so we can gather detailed imformation about your business situation and goals.

What if it doesn't work?

Sometimes 2 companies are not a good fit for each other. If that happens then you can just pay for any hours already worked and that's it. NO OTHER HIDDEN CHARGE or other long term contracts, we always give our clients 100% freedom.

Example of costing?

In the case of a simple redesign, a client comes to us with an existing site that needs to be revamped for one reason or another. The content will mostly stay as is, although it may need to be reorganized a bit. Let's assume that the client also wants a content management system so that they can maintain the site on their own moving forward. How much will something like this cost? For example a website from creative to final product, here is the break down.

• * Project Management, meetings, and correspondence over an 8-week period: 20 hours
• * Research and Information Architecture (competitive analysis, site structure, wireframes): 25 hours
• * Visual Design (one design direction for a small set of templates): 30 hours
• * Page Coding (turning designs into HTML and CSS): 25 hours
• * Implementation of a simple Content Management System setup: 30 hours
• * Content migration and CMS training: 10 hours
• * QA and testing: 5 hours

That's a total of 145 hours spread over a two-month period. At our standard $85/hour, you're looking at roughly $12,325 for a simple redesign and a content management system. But it is just an estimation, cost may vary greatly depending on your specific needs.
